Music Monday!: A Hermit On Tour and Her Travel Tunes

Happy Monday Friends!

How are you? I hope you’re well rested and feeling well loved! It’s been a long week in the car for me but, my heart is supremely full. This week, I don’t have a feature for you, and I’m so sorry! As I said, I’ve been a hermit around town this week and there have been drives to Chicagoland and St. Louis but, lots of dear souls. Lots of hugs. Lots of coffee. So many warmfuzzies. So, I thought I’d do something that I’ve been meaning to do with y’all anyway. I thought I’d share my travel tunes with you!

I’m so blown away that y’all choose to spend every Monday and Thursday with me. It’s the craziest feeling in the world that people actually want to read the silly things I write. If you’re new here, WELCOME! It’s so nice to meet you! Cozy up, and let’s chat!

This week, I traveled to see my dear friends Whosah play a show. My kind friend, Dave asked one of my long time friend Amy what we listened to on our drive to their show and I was DJing with a broken heart, so I made her sound really uncool and silly when the answer to the question was “Kelly Clarkson”. (Although, I really really love Kelly Clarkson.)

I don’t want that to happen to you, so, I’m sharing my road jams with you. (Since we’re talking about Amy…she’s basically my soulmate. Let’s get real. Celtic Spirituality talks about the “Anam Cara” or soul friend. That’s her. She’s the very best human I know.)

There are a few things about being a girl on the road lately that have got me thinking and here’s the reality. Y’all have totally changed my life. You have. In the most sincere way, every time someone reads even a word of what I write, you are changing the direction of my passions and efforts. You are making it possible for me to sit down with amazing musicians and make friends because, music changes hearts. Music cures the spirit. When you read the life pieces I post on Thursdays, you’ve basically become my sounding board for life and I am forever grateful. Thank you from the tips of my little toes. You’re the best.

This week’s playlist is here:

You are loved. You are wonderful. I’ll see you Thursday.

xx. Laura.
